MASTERING THE ART OF STAYING IN.. SNUGGLING UP IN YOUR LOUNGEWEAR!

Loungewear seems to fill that gap- it’s a great go-to style of clothing that can be easily worn for school drop offs, running errands, working from home and doing all the other bits in between. You can keep the look casual or give it a more glamorous edge depending on what you style it with and how you’re feeling.

True to say, early nights have never looked so good. I LOVE dressing up more than anything but since lockdown I have spent a lot of my early mornings and evenings in loungewear so I am always on the lookout for great sweatpants and cashmere. I am becoming obsessed with Latini knit sweaters, made from a blend of mohair, cashmere and alpaca they combine that casual chic touch with minimalism and comfort. They also fit perfectly under a blazer in case I need to switch it up for a more formal Zoom call.

When it comes to loungewear there is so much to choose from nowadays. Personally I love a bit of soft, silky, smooth cashmere against my skin on cooler, quieter evenings. There is actually A LOT of really great affordable cashmere out there at the moment. In particular, Marks and Spencer have a great affordable range. This company is one of the oldest and most well-known brands in Britain and their value for quality is second to none.

At the luxury end I am enjoying the effortless style from the brand Chinti & Parker. It’s knitwear celebrates joyful colour, timeless shapes, and innovative texture. These fun, high-quality knits are an everyday essential for me! The Stars Collection is a firm favourite in my household with everything from loungewear to hats, scarves and even hot water bottles to match.

I like to style mine with a chic cashmere knitted headband from Muse and Moda if I plan on popping out or just want to glam my look up for the evening.

If you are after a similar look but on the more casual side, James Perse does fabulous high quality basics. Although it started as an American brand, they ship almost anywhere. I for one am a loyal fan of their seamless blend of luxe and casual. They have recently launched an equally outlined men's collection and a line for babies and children! The white cotton track pants and jersey T-shirt look great thrown on with a statement piece from a new favourite jewellery brand of mine Lily Baker Jewels.
