SCOTLAND, BRAEMAR ..The Fife Arms

Hard to be believe that only 12 hours ago we were literally geographically at the other end of the country … we took the Caledonian Sleeper (which we heartily recommend) from London waking up this morning in the Cairn Gorns a stones throw from Balmoral. Cairn Gorns translated means blue mountains and it really is that. A picture perfect view! We literally stepped of the train into NARNIA :)

It was such a pleasure to be staying the the Fife Arms with the Ghillie’s to take care of you. There are 14,000 Artworks in this hotel so to say we are in Art heaven was an understatement.

There are specific commissions by internationally-renowned artists from outside of Scotland – Zhang Enli, Guillermo Kuitca, Subodh Gupta, Richard Jackson and Bharti Kher. The reception also features a special Steinway piano that was creatively reimagined by contemporary artist Mark Bradford.

The hotel has a spa a whisky tasting room, indeed there are over 485 to try and they have an expert on hand to guide you to all the very best ones :) :)

Living in the city I can’t help but feel so grateful to be breathing in glorious fresh air, indeed we went on the riverside hike on our final day… it’s snowed all day and it was just beautiful. Very thankful and grateful and despite being here only a few days completed recharged and ready for 2022. And in that moment I signed up for the worthwhile cause Women versus Cancer ride the night 50 kilometre bike ride coming soon in April! Tap here if you would like to Support.
